Ohonyeta Care Givers Association (OCAG)
Ohonyeta Care Givers Association (OCAG) is a non-government organization (NGO) established in 1997 and registered with CAC in 2003 to address the socio-economic and health concerns of the people of poor communities in Nigeria. Working mainly with men, women, young people, children under 5, aged and persons living with disabilities. OCAG adopts a multi-sectoral approach to poverty reduction, aiming to build the capacity of the vulnerable and marginalized members of the community and encourage awareness of their productive and reproductive roles.
Since its founding, OCAG has been dedicated to empowering the vulnerable and marginalized through advocacy and sensitization, capacity building for Community Based Organizations to address social economic and health issues that make them vulnerable and marginalized, monitoring/evaluation and program delivery across the spectrum of disease prevention, Care and Support and Economic empowerment.
OCAG’s intervention is driven by its Mission of “empowering the vulnerable and marginalized community members to appreciate their productive and reproductive roles through involvement in meaningful and sustainable community based programs
To have a future where the vulnerable and marginalized community members have access and control over resources
To improve the livelihood of the vulnerable and marginalized community members through sustainable community interventions.
To strengthen community health services and increase access to these services through capacity development for relevant stakeholders.
To mitigate the human, physical and economic losses suffered by community members due to disasters or crises
- Transparency: OCAG operates on a flat management structure whereby every member is given opportunity to make meaningful contributions to her development.
- Commitment: We are determine to make real lasting improvement in the lives of the vulnerable and marginalized and to inspire others to join in the mission.
- Accountability: We are committed to being accountable, evaluating and communicating the outcome of our activities and to sharing our strength and weaknesses to members and non-members.
OCAG target groups are Adolescents, Men and women of reproductive age, People infected and affected found in the community, youth organizations, women and men organizations, Faith based Organizations and support groups.

Ohonyeta Care Givers extends its compassionate services across a broad geographic spectrum, encompassing the regions of Benue, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi, and Plateau. Our commitment to making a positive impact on these areas remains unwavering, as we tirelessly work to enhance the lives of individuals in these diverse communities.
